Jackie Lee Steele

LaCenter, KY Jackie Lee Steele, age 84, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. She was born in Ballard County, KY on February 23, 1940 to her late parents, King and Bernatta "MaMaw" (Hargrove) Pool.

Jackie was the rock of her family and the glue that held them all together. Her previous employments included Teleservice and Harris Engineering. She loved to travel and the Smokey Mountains were her favorite place to visit. Jackie enjoyed crocheting, sewing and gardening in her flowers. She spent several years as a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader. Jackie's favorite holidays were Christmas and Easter. She loved to spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Steele of LaCenter, KY; a daughter, Faynetta Todd (Leon) of Bardwell, KY; a son, Michael Earl Steele (Brenda) of LaCenter, KY; a daughter, Carla Michelle Grubbbs (Corey) of LaCenter, KY; two sisters, Peggy Carter of LaCenter, KY and Joyce Williamson of Morganfield, KY; three grandchildren, Ethan Michael Steele, Jonathan Andrew Steele and Holly Roseanne Doom; four great grandchildren.

Jackie was preceded in death by parents; a grandson, Trevor Ray Doom; three brothers, Jr. Pool, Virgil pool and William Wayne Pool; three sisters, Betty Jennings, Catherine Dixon, and Jonell Horn and baby Gary Wayne Pool.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 6-8 P.M. Visitation will resume on Friday, March, 29, 2024 after 8:00 A.M. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday March 29, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in LaCenter, KY. with Rev. Brian Overstreet officiating.

Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
